Course 1 is free, so you can experience System Design Lab before subscribing. We encourage you to start there.

You can cancel your subscription anytime from Account → Subscription. Cancellation stops future billing; your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't prorate partial periods or refund the time remaining when you cancel early.

Except as required by law, payments are non-refundable. To ask about a specific charge, email dave@systemdesignlab.co from your account email and we'll take a look.

If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your initial subscription purchase within 14 days, free of charge and without giving a reason. This right applies only to your first purchase, not to renewals, which continue the same contract rather than starting a new one.

Because course content is available to you immediately after purchase, starting to watch a lesson or otherwise accessing paid content before the 14-day period ends counts as expressly requesting immediate performance — under EU law, that waives the withdrawal right for that purchase. If you cancel within 14 days without having accessed any paid content, we'll refund it in full.
